Home For Authors For Reviewers Contact As JBC transitions to a new submission system and gold open access, please keep these dates in mind: Before Oct. 7, 2020 All papers submitted before Oct. 7 will go through the existing manuscript-tracking system (eJournalPress). Authors whose funders or institutions require their papers to have CC-BY licenses must select the "Author's Choice" option, which carries a fee of $1,500 for ASBMB members or $2000 for non-members. On or after Oct. 7, 2020 All new submissions on or after Oct. 7 will go through the new manuscript-tracking system (Editorial Manager). These papers, if accepted, will automatically have a CC-BY license and will be subject to a flat rate ($2,000 for ASBMB members or $2,500 for nonmembers). On or after Jan. 1, 2021 As of Jan. 1, all articles published before Oct. 7, 2020 will become freely available. Only papers published as "Author's Choice" will carry the CC-BY license.
